Are you thinking of turning your wedding into a weekend getaway in some of the Puget Sounds more beautiful landscapes? Think about getting married at Roche Harbor Resort nestled in the stunning San Juan Islands! I had the opportunity to take photos of some dear friends, Andrew and Vienna, at this venue and now I can’t wait to come back! It took my breath away from the moment we arrived. 

Andrew and Vienna got married in September where they collected their close family and friends to join them for a weekend getaway at Roche Harbor Resort. This venue is full of lively greenery, historic buildings, and a beautiful backdrop of boats settled against the soft San Juan sunsets. 

Our morning started by getting shots of Vienna’s dress hanging on the historic Hotel De Haro, grabbing breakfast at Lime Kiln Café, capturing photos of Vienna with her girls in the bridal suite, and Andrew walking with his groomsman along the cobblestone streets in front of the hotel. 

On the way to her first look with Andrew, Vienna stopped to have a first look with her dad. Laughs, tears, and smiles were shared before she continued down the road, through the garden, and onto the docks to meet Andrew. Not only did they share a sentimental moment but they got to share it with some local seals who decided to grab a front-row seat!

Their ceremony was held in the beautiful green gardens followed by their reception up at the pavilion. During cocktail hour we went over to Lime Kiln Point State Park where Vienna had a vision of her veil flying in the wind overlooking the water. After that, we headed back to the Resort, took some more photos down by the water at sunset, and continued to party the night away with all of their excited guests! 

There was no detail left out of this wedding, it was an experience to last a lifetime. I hope to be back someday soon!
