I first met Kaitlin and Blaine when I took their Engagement photos at Discovery Park. These two were so obviously in love it made my job so simple. A year later I was blessed to be asked to take their wedding photos at a beautiful venue called Sweetwater Ranch in Ellensburg Washington. The morning started by meeting Kaitlin in the Bridal Suite where we had to stomp through the snow to reach the door. It was quite the adventure but the snow made for some picture-perfect moments. What more could you want from a winter wedding than a fresh layer of snow?
Something that Kaitlin and Blaine did during their day that I thought was so cool was that instead of having their guests in a crowd around them or sitting side by side, they had their guest’s seats lining the aisle way on each side so as they walked down the aisle, they were surrounded by their family and friends. They also did private vows instead of a first look. I had never captured private vows before but these brought a tear to my eye as well as both of theirs. You could tell how emotional and personal their vows were as both of them had their hands shaking and tears welling up in their eyes.
We ended the evening with drinks around the fire and lots of dancing. This wedding was so special and certainly convinced me that Winter weddings are a VIBE! I truly loved spending the day with these two and getting to capture their love story.
